Zoopla announces record-breaking traffic |
Friday 7th January 2011
Property portal Zoopla is reporting record levels of traffic in the first few days of 2011.
During the first four days of January, visitors were up by 102% compared to the same period last year.
In that period, over a million property searches were conducted, at an average rate of over 180 per minute.
Zoopla is also reporting that inquiry levels are up by a staggering 251% (with vendor appraisal leads up by 258%) compared to the same period last year, equating to over ten leads per minute, 24 hours per day, currently being sent to its agent and developer members across the UK.
On January 3, the day before most people went back to work, Zoopla served over 2.9 million page impressions, eclipsing its previous record of 2.1 million set back in September.
The record figures come after Zoopla kicked off its latest TV campaign on January 1.
Alex Chesterman, founder and CEO of Zoopla, said: “Increased search and inquiry activity via property portals is a good early indicator of market interest and, whilst still very early, the signs so far for 2011 look encouraging. And, of course, we are delighted to be sending record levels of inquiries to our members.”
