Mystery surrounds a decision to take down most of the Xperience brands from the review site Allagents.

Whitegates, Ellis & Co, and Parkers pages on the site are now all marked ‘error’.

However, CJ Hole remains on Allagents – and is ranked fifth out of 11,594 agents in the UK, with a mark of 4.83 out of a possible five. There have been some noticeably outstanding reviews on its Allagents entry, all mentioning specific CJ Hole staff by name.

CJ Hole has not, according to the site, signed up to the ‘transparent’ agent scheme.

Martin McKenzie, of Allagents, made no comment about the missing Xperience agents.

Michael Stoop, managing director of Xperience, which is the Legal & General franchise brand for estate agents, confirmed his company’s decision to withdraw Whitegates, Ellis & Co and Parkers brand names from AllAgents.

He added: “The CJ Hole brand currently remains on the site, but is under review.

“We are fully supportive of customer reviews and transparency about our products and services and actively encourage customer feedback.

“We have reviewed our requirements in this area, and whilst we have enjoyed a long-standing relationship with Allagents, we feel that the partnership has come to a natural conclusion. We will be looking to further promote the four brands using Google reviews and integrating these within the brand websites.”

Come on where's a whistleblower when you need one!? - someone at L&G must have the inside track/truth

Yes it does sound like a deal has been done to walk away gracefully without the beans being spilled.

I always knew that agents were writing their own reviews on this website. Shame on any firm that is caught falsely writing reviews on any website

How on earth did they manage to get their brands taken off the allagents site anyway? Time and time again I have read agents complaining that they didn't want to be on the site in the first place, but can't get off it.

So much for being "transparent", and "independent".

Allagents dont remove agents without reason. 3 out of 4 brands being removed at the request of xperience tells me that something has been found.

The fact that aa hasnt commented on it indicates that a deal has been struck to keep this hush hush..

Oh, I forgot to mention that the customer was a tenant, not a landlord, which obviously changes what "not using us" actually means.

@Paul - I think you miss the point. The reason we signed up was because I found myself writing reviews for products on Amazon (one good, one bad, and another that was good for the product but complained about the service). I know I am a bit "special" (after all I am an estate agent) but there are loads of people out there who will happily vent their spleen or otherwise.

This morning I came in to a review from a customer who did not use our services, but has bothered to give us a glowing report nonetheless.

People are desperate to have their say and tell others and, overall, are just as likely now to say nice things as bad, entirely dependent on their experiences.

To actively go out of your way to avoid this is bonkers

I cannot believe that cheating would be be involved in any way. All of the Xperience franchisees that I have met and worked with have the highest ethics.

Surely can't be because they were cheating, I haven't checked recently but I know allagents used to make a very strong point that any agent found cheating would be publicly humiliated with the word "cheat" plastered across their allagens revie page.

Agree with the decision though, Google has to be a much better place to have reviews.

I heard they all got removed because they were caught cheating. If that is the case then allagents should be praised for taking action like this.

And so the penny drops. Why pay something for nothing, just for fear of gaining bad publicity or because all the competition are doing it.
Allagents is a flawed business plan.
