A 50-strong team of bucket-shaking volunteers from Winkworth did a fantastic job raising money for the Marie Curie cancer charity.

They spent 12 hours at Waterloo Station in London, taking part in the Daffodil Appeal.

By 10am they had raised over £1,500 and by the end of the day, the grand total was £6,821.75 – smashing previous achievements.

Winkworth has supported the Daffodil Appeal for many years, and this was a fantastic effort.

Rachel Noden, from Winkworth Battersea, said: “We have always found this a rewarding activity, and many of us are humbled when we talk to those moving through the station about their experiences of Marie Curie and how this incredible organisation has touched their lives.”

Congratulations – and thanks for a superb and largely unsung effort, which reflects so well on the industry.
