Super-rich Greeks pile into London as Eurozone worries deepen |
Monday 3rd October 2011
Yet another central London agent has described a feverish market as the Eurozone crisis deepens.
WA Ellis said its inquiry levels are at fever pitch, with foreign investors desperate to put their money into the London property market, amid escalating concerns in the world economies.
The agent said it has had a surge of inquiries from Greeks together with a steady flow from Russians, Indians and Chinese.
A house newly launched at £11.95m is already generating much interest, said the firm.
It added that residential investment in central London is being increasingly seen as a long-term safe bet with strong income returns and stable yields, but the firm said it is in ‘desperate need’ of more rental stock.
