Rightmove launches new iPhone app |
Friday 16th September 2011
Rightmove has launched a new version of its iPhone app, originally released in August 2009 and which has gone on to record over 1.4 million downloads.
Rightmove director Miles Shipside said: “The huge success of our original iPhone app encouraged us to expand Rightmove on to other mobile platforms, and the results of that investment are being seen today with 15% of Rightmove property searches now performed via these devices.”
The Rightmove iPhone app V2 is a complete rebuild of the original and has a series of new features such as zoomable floorplans and syncing with a My Rightmove account.
The app will also feature advertising opportunities for agents to increase the exposure of their brand and properties to a mobile audience.
According to comScore MobiLens, the number of people who used an app to view real estate listings each month grew by 63% to 780,000 between June 2010 and June 2011.
The Rightmove iPhone app V2 can be updated using iTunes by users who have already downloaded the original Rightmove iPhone app.
The app can also be downloaded at: http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/rightmove-app/id323822803

| | Dont see many anti Rightmove comments springing up.....1.4 million downloads..........fantastic.Much more value than dpg or zzzzoopla. |
| | I questioned why the amount i pay for all the different branding services hasn't been passed over to the iPhone app and i haven't received an honest response yet. Which tells me that they will be charging extra for this which is very annoying. iPhone doesn't give me extra users, they look at pc and iThingies, not 1 or the other so i don't see why this should be extra charges coming my way? I have been a big rightmove lover and don't use the other portals but this could tip me over the edge....! |
| | ahhh is this what the price increase later this year is all about? |
