PropertyLive still has a pulse, puzzled agents find

Monday 4th February 2013

PropertyLive has not closed down after all – yet, anyway.

EAT was unable to get a reply from NFoPP regarding any update on the closure, which had been flagged up to members for last Thursday night.

Agents had been told to discontinue their data feeds as the site’s functionality would be turned off. They have apparently not been told anything different since.

However, a news story was posted up on the PropertyLive site on February 1 – about Nationwide’s property prices –  the day after the supposed closure, and yesterday (Sunday) agents received automated emails from PropertyLive, asking them to ensure that their properties are updated on a regular basis.

The email said: “Please could you ensure that everything is set up correctly at your end and contact your datafeed provider if necessary.”

It said that anyone experiencing difficulties should contact the usual support@propertylive email address.

It is understood that NFoPP may have delayed switching off the site pending the results of talks from the various IT providers that have contacted the organisation since its announcement regarding the closure.

Cynical me but why did Naea wait until January to announce closure of PL
Just after Subs paid.....
How many Members would they have lost.?

Quite right! No direct involment from Arbon House.

If there is to be a Propertylive Mk2 it must be open to all agents that have the necessary insurances etc. etc.. It would not stand a chance if not. NFoPP members would pay a reduced fee?

The NAEA's National Conference is to be held at the Park Lane Hilton on 26 March, and who is listed as having a stand at that Conference?

Why! PropertyLive of course. I thought the parrott was dead! No, its just resting. If it weren't nailed to the perch it would be pushing up daisies.. RIP.

I expect the names mooted as leading a rescue have been stonewalled by Arbon House who THINK that they can capitalize on the strong feelings of members

Mark Hayward - if NFoPP stay at the helm, this support will evaporate. Your organisation do not have the vision to do what is needed, nor the resources. Please don't delay the inevitable and do the decent thing and give Property Live a chance - its the RIGHT thing to do for your members.

If you do not - you WILL waste more of OUR money only to fail. Please - you are an honorable man - swallow your NFoPP pride and let the brand prevail.

Finally Artificial Intelligence.

Looks like the machine has finally decided it can do a better job than the NFoPP.

I wonder how much it will charge to list properties, or maybe this is a bid to protect agents from themselves, take over rightmove then zoopla and then the worrrrrllllllllddddddd.

PropertyLive still alive - another news item about the Olympic village. Perhaps they are not using a big enough stick!

Nope, EAT is not providing newsfeeds to NFOPP.

We do provide news to lots of agent clients when we run their social media strategy:-) but NFOPP isn’t one of them.

@IHS - the news item will probably be from an automated feed operated by a third party. Rather like the ones that EAT offers agents, probably. In fact it might even be theirs? Offering the intruiging possibility that they don't mind not being paid for this service...

@Ray Evans - my sentiments entirely!

For goodness sake!
When are the NFOPP going to give an indication of just what is going on?

Just checked the PropertyLive web site - there is a news item dated today regarding two new Government housing initiatives! Somebody must be pushing the buttons.

Maybe a few at Arbon house do as well.....

Maybe PL needs a brain stem test just so we know...

They are probably having meetings after reading reports from sub-committees to see who will press the off switch.

A continuing fiasco called NFoPP.
(Where is Nick Salmon?)

You've just discovered the answer to the question- there's no one left in the building to switch the site off. A rudderless ship, a Mary Celeste..!!

I suspect this is more to do with NFOPP inefficiency? All the ProperLive team left last Friday so who is running the site?
