Huge conveyancing firm suspended by regulator |
Friday 30th July 2010
A large conveyancing practice has been suspended by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
UKconvey, also known as Norman Saville, was well known to estate agents, and had a ‘no completion, no fee’ deal.
It claimed to be the UK’s number one property conveyancing solicitor, with a new instruction every 12 minutes.
However, while the firm’s website is still up and running, telephone callers are told that there has been an ‘intervention’ by the SRA.
The reasons for the suspension are unclear.
