Spicerhaart’s Fine brand is planning a major recruitment drive, aiming to double its network over the next three years.
It is also recruiting high-calibre individuals at local level to work for both its existing and new branches.
Fine, launched in 2010 by Spicerhaart, currently has a network of over 20 branches around the UK and is headed by Chris Charlton, formerly residential director of Savills.
Charlton said Fine is seeking targeted business acquisitions in a number of locations around the country.
He said: “Fine enjoyed an extremely successful 2011, making considerable strides in terms of growth and market penetration, in spite of the tough market conditions. We are forecasting an equally successfully 2012 with a strong pipeline of new instructions and anticipated high business levels.
“To help facilitate this growth, we are planning to appoint staff at all levels, to not only support the work within our existing branches but those Fine branches that are likely to come online in the wake of our proposed acquisitions.”
He added: “I am confident that Fine’s totally unique proposition, based on its pioneering lifestyle marketing approach, will have a huge impact on the premium estate agency sector in the UK in the years to come.”

How are Spicers going to do this as they have no one else to copy, they are stuffed with no original ideas.
The Fine model is nothing new, been done and dusted in Australia many years ago and borrowed here in the UK from Fine & Country by a former employee. The buying public are savvy and want the facts without the palarver that self termed 'lifestyle' agencies spew out. This sector of the market (if you can call it that) is already well catered for. Simply another attempt by the boys at Spicerhaart to expand at someone else's expense. The bloke from Savills will wish he'd stayed with a real agent!

isold.... not going as planned
Super Agencies.... not going as planned
Expansion.... not going as planned
What is this folly?
Oh, BTW....
They have one branch that turned in some good numbers as far as I can tell.
The rest haemorrhaged money (also as far as I can tell).
But since they are biggybacking on existing Haart offices I suppose their "20 offices" is more like "little corners and a couple of window cards of 20 offices"
The idea of catering to the upper quartile is sensible, but it takes time and a lot of money.
Can't wait to see that.
I understand that Fine & Country already have an interim court order for Spicerhaart to pay their costs for borrowing the name.
They might get bigger, but it is pretty sure they won't be using the name "Fine".
Happy Days
all these agents 'expanding for growth' when they should be battoning down the hatches
they seem to think (coutesy of hmg) that the good times will roll forever
