An estate agent has been named as one of Britain’s 1,000 top firms by the London Stock Exchange.

Thamesview, which operates across London under a variety of brands including Dexters, appears in the report called “1,000 Companies to inspire Britain”.

There are 16 real estate companies altogether in the list – including developers and serviced office providers – which does not rank firms chosen from some 100 sectors.

Other firms in the top 1,000 include Metro Bank, Hunters (the wellies, not the agents), Cath Kidston, Mulberry, and ageing rockers Iron Maiden, one of seven music companies.

Growth is assessed from various sources including email traffic and financial transactions.

Companies are selected on the basis of outperforming the sector average. Sectors with low volumes of entries indicate relatively consistent performance across the board.
