Congratulations to estate agent Matt Lehan and his wife Lisa on the successful arrival of their second daughter, Jessie – born in their car.

Matt, a valuer and negotiator with Castlehill in Headingley, Leeds, had to turn midwife when his car got stuck in a traffic jam on their way to hospital.

He said: “It all happened so quick. Lisa’s waters broke in the car and I called the hospital who told me to pull over, help keep her warm, and get towels ready.

“By the time I heard the siren from the ambulance coming up the road, I was already holding my baby girl.

“It all happened in about seven minutes. I had no time to think – natural instinct just kicked in – and it is what anyone else finding themselves in my position would have done.”

Clearly, an estate agent who is unfazed by anything.
