Estate agency chain haart is to spend over £5m in the coming months on a new consumer campaign called ‘Always your best interests at haart’. The aim is a ‘service revolution’ within its 124-branch network.

Every member of staff within haart’s residential sales, residential lettings, financial and legal services divisions will take part in a ‘brand training programme’. This will include the creation of brand champions within each branch to act as a focal point for brand activity at a local level.

The move follows widespread consultation with customers about the type of estate agent they would like to see on the High Street in the future.

Paul Smith, CEO of haart, said: “We have been consulting widely with the public over recent months about the type of estate agent they would like to see, as well as the services they offer, not just now but also in the future.

“We have used this information to help shape the direction in which haart is moving as well as the look and feel of the brand as we seek to transform haart from good to great.

“I firmly believe the plans we have in place for haart, built on a solid foundation of service excellence, will ensure that it continues to remain the most innovative independent estate agent in the UK.”

On Monday, haart opened a new £200,000 branch in Newport, South Wales. The branch replaces the current Darlows branch in the town, also owned by Spicerhaart. However, a spokesman said that there are no plans to replace the Darlows brand with haart.

He said: “We remain committed to Darlows in South Wales.

“The lease was coming to an end at the Darlows branch in Newport and we decided that the time was right to introduce the haart brand to South Wales in the city.

“We have invested heavily in the premises, which are about three times as big as the former Darlows branch. The response has been really positive to date from customers, who love being able to pop in, sit down and browse through the properties on the touch-screen computers at their leisure.”

    an apology?

Here goes. I’m SORRY you have nothing better to do than troll me although I'm delighted you should chose to call me boy. Very flattering.
I am surprised that despite worrying about the content of these posts, (for the readers) that you continue to add nothing to any of them.
Why not do some work, be productive? Or is it a date you’re after?

Sorry mate, I could never date someone with such a low IQ.

wardy an apology would have made you look better and a bigger man, rather than repeat it show your true colours, why so angry boy there are people you can talk to try to get your nut straight, but with such anger maybe not.

Was sitting at the traffic lights monday, when a 1 series pulled up next to me, shades on, head nodding, windows down, music blaring, fag in hand. He obviously forgot he had H A A R T written all over his motor.

Before pulling away, he gobbed out of the window as well. Pure class.

@Big Ted, they're going through a process of replacing all their white BMWs with a "multi-million pound" fleet of white Audis.

Ahhhhh, I see my little troll is back.
My point is this. Shouting 'we are the most innovative estate agency' with every press release doesn’t make it so. If there was ever a firm stuck in the dark ages, it’s this mob.

btw, there are already stronger words than 'arse' on this thread should you decide to pull your head from yours and read the comments instead of trolling me.

Wardy, the public read this, foul language does not show the Industry well, express yourself otherwise and better. Have you actually a valid point to make or just being adusive?

Well, I suppose they needed something! After all, Fine looks like it is kicking the bucket!

AFAIK the court case against them from F&C has gone badly against them and the judge is taking his time writing up his decision because it is so important (biggest passing off case for years apparently).

Good luck gents, mind you the PR spin is a bit cheesy!

    What a farce,

If a 'real' survey were done what would the result be, what is the benefit of asking customers who have already selected you as their agent 'what they want to see from their agent'?

Paul Smith claims he has been consulting widely with the public over recent months about the type of estate agent they would like to see. If he were doing that survey around here, and were genuinely going to the selling masses it would be a resounding 'not an agent like you'.

The aggressive touting, impossible contracts, ludicrous fees and spotty young kids in MK1 BMW's are not cutting it. You can see this every week in the RM league of activity.

'Good to Great' Mr Smith? I would concentrate on getting from 'Shit to Good' if I were you.

Wish you well with it though. If you harass the crap out of the locals, that's great, more business for me at your expense, I think.

    Well done Sir.

Anyone else feel like sticking a gun in their mouth when they read this endless corporate hogwash? I couldn't say it to anyone and keep a straight face.

    £5m my arse.

Training existing staff to be more customer focused and a couple of ipads in every office is hardly innovative.
