60 second interview: Tony Addinall

Friday 17th July 2009

Name:
Tony Addinall

What does it say on your business card: Group Chief Executive, Badger Holdings

Where is your business based: The agency office network and the property maintenance side of things are based and operate throughout London, Surrey, Middlesex and Hampshire. On our surveying side we are based in the South-East of England but offer national coverage.

How hard have you found the recession?  On a scale of 1 to 10, 8.

What lasting lessons will you take from it? That it brings you back to the basics and you realise how much more efficient you can be.

If the Tories get in at the next election, would you be sorry to see HIPs go? No.

Who is your property hero? At the moment? Chad Newbould, Sales Branch Director of our Sunbury Townends office, as he is our top manager!

If you hadn’t been an agent, what would you have done instead? Most probably I would have been a builder come developer as I like the construction side of property.

Random thought? How much we can all achieve without realising it as individuals. Recently, as part of a group, I took part in a 110-mile sponsored paddle for charity and people told us that we wouldn’t be able to do it. But it is amazing the inner strength people have when they’re put in a situation which demands it.
