A free offer you can't refuse?
Wednesday 10th March 2010If you want to win friends and influence people, you might be interested in the new Home Mover Box.
It might not be an instruction winner in the immediate future, but which of your tenants or buyers is going to complain about your giving them a free box of essential goodies delivered on the day they move in?
And perhaps they might be so enamoured of the loo rolls, teabags, coffee, milk, kitchen paper, black plastic sacks and cleaning materials plus assorted money-off vouchers, that it could be the start of a long love affair.
Best of all, it will cost agents absolutely nothing: not bad, given that the box will be delivered with your own branding, enhancing awareness of how great you are when it comes to customer service. It really does strike us as a something for nothing deal.
The Home Mover Box company has signed up the likes of the Guild and Connells.

Report AbuseGet Profile | Registered with these guys early March but not heard a squeak. |
Get Profile | not new this type of thing was round 20 years ago! |
Get Profile | Good to see the normal grabbers looking for something, Connells and Guild seem to go with any idea no matter however poor and tacky- only puzzle?? where are kings of tack, Haart or wouldn't Tesco let them compete with the little freebies in the junk box! |
Get Profile | Home Mover Box will achieve an exellent data base of tenants, rental properties and recent movers. |
Get Profile | Our Mat Ward gave us one like this when we had our child, can't re-call one advert or Nappy company. Good to see refreshing new ideas from years back! |
![]() | It costs you nothing, gets you remembered in a good way and helps the client.
I can only see win, win any loss ie advertising appears minimal. Cann't see any reasons to be hostile towards the ieda. |
See Profile or Message The Commentator | Portal Pete - Yes of course this 'word of mouth' advertising will be very good, and much appreciated. What I meant was, will that purchaser who bought the house through you remember the said box in 5 to 7 yrs time when they are ready to move again!?
Hopefully your service was so impressively good that they will come back to you again when they want to move on. |
Get Profile | Win instructions?!! er...yes?
Dont you think that when the person receives this box on move day they will be happy and suprised by their agent? Then don;t you think they will tell their friends? This will be the very endorsement you need to (help) get the instruction!! Arent you guys meant to be GOOD at marketing!!! |
See Profile or Message The Commentator | Doesn't win the instruction though, does it.
What we want and need in this market is instructions, and NOW! |
Get Profile | It is a good marketing idea - but nothing is really ever for free.
The suppliers of these boxes will build up an address data base and pass it on to those who provide the contents? As I say, a good marketing idea with kudos for the agent. |
See Profile or Message gavin ward | Has anyone on here used these yet? Seems like a good idea, some feedback would be good. |

I tried these guys a month or so back, the tenants never got anything, its a very slow service and they hardly send any boxes out. I know its free, but only good if they send them....
