This man is a devil,
please read on.......
never mind all the people he has cheated in the uk, he has not paid staff taken loans on staff's name and left them in the shit and caused at least 2 divorces.
he has put numerious people in to financial difficulities.
This Man who looks like a human has cheated his own mum and dad in leicester uk, he forgredley sighned their paperwork and took a remortgage on thei property his dad is 62 and mum about 60 and this scum has taken there life savings and made them virtually homless as he has take a loan in their names by a forged signiture.
his mum and dad who are very innocent people are going door to door now asking people for help as their son has put them in so much trouble.
now it is his mum and dads age to relax as they have worked honestley for over 35 years and he is making them cry...
so to understand this man if he is happy to put his own honest genuine mum and dad through hell who are all we.

To Neil Patel. My comments are not slanderous but do feel free to stick your legal team on notice, after all how much more publicity do you need right now?!! Why do you think my business hinges around agents? It doesn't! You seem to have a lot of anger, I genuinely don't care that OneMove keeled over- its not the first and won't be last to try something similar and fail. Your attempt to draw analogies with larger companies like AIG and HBOS is slightly disconcerting. The collapse/propping up of these companies together with a handful investment banks is unfortunate since its plain we will never the lesson that the quick buck is rarely the right option. I was part of a company that floated and then imploded blowing 550mil back in 2001-02 so you could say I've learned a great deal from watching the mistakes of others from inside that company! Being inside the telecomms boom and bust was very useful first-hand experience to understand what is happening right now and how its likely to play out. Feel free to run a feature on me, a man of your calibre should be able to find pictures of me on the web with some ease I have to say! Make it accurate though, or I'd only be obliged to run my own article and give it epic coverage in the trade press and beyond. Thats the upside of being a professional, we do things corectly and accurately! Your OneMove model was interesting, but I didn't feel that it really linked into the behaviour of your average independent estate agency office. There is huge distrust in agency to put your faith in company to deliver all those solutions was always going to be ambitious unless you got a raft of corporate clients signed up right from the off to help bankroll the extensive advertising campaign needed to drive growth. The fact I didn't like your business model doesn't detract from the fact that you tried to make it work and I always respect hard work (I work 90-100 hour weeks). Anyway, have fun, and best of luck with the baby!

regulation or licencing wether you would make past first post or not isn't for me to judge. That's the image your are giving to any one reading this. Being educated and professional come with responsibilty of respect and a level of discretion. Something your action show you lack, succesfull people brag less themselves and let there actions speak for themselves. Whilst your in bed AIG has been bailed out for 84 billion dollars, HBOS has been aquired by Lloyds. Now you have more directors to call stupid and tell that there business models were CRAP, a very intelligent word from a professional. What really is sound advice is focus on your six businesses as you will find a few of them fail. Stop gloating on others honest failures, crap business ideas and enjoy your success as long as it last as from some of the emails I have receieved today doesn't put you in such a perfect light. Please send me a photo of you as your comment of calling other agents stupid will be a feature and we want to make sure we use the right photo. Intelligent comment considering all your work comes from these stupid people.

In what why would I struggle? Professional, educated, not a fly-by night, already member of professional organisation with real barriers to entry. It was rather a mud-slinging comment by you, but amuse me, in what way would I not be considered for a licence? Do I not break enough rules? Do we have a problem having an agency offices stuffed full of professionals, most of who have degrees/Charterships, some even have more than one ;o)

Hi Neil I do remember the conversation but there was more to it then that. I am also happy for you and your six businesses, it’s not my nature to mock others or actually be disappointed when someone is successful. Owning companies is about making money, (PROFIT) whilst we know about OneMove, what are your six companies doing? Also take a look online as to your service record with a few customers, Neil Douglas Estate Agents. Do not expect me to sit here whilst you think making fun of others seems to be you’re past time. To Neil Patel: Oh you are back! We've actually spoken on the phone Neil, when I called to say what an earth were your useless sales team doing when my agency wwas trying to sign up with your deal with ExpertAgent deal. I got my refund (after some chasing) but I'm not shocked your company crashed.

As for me, yeah, I must be 'nothijng to do', yeah righto! Let me see, I have 6 companies, 2000 DEA/HIs on the books, we have carried out many thousands of EPCs, we do sales, rental, block management, commercial and domestic EPCs. I'll let you know when you can teach me something about property eh? By the way, if we sell no houses for the rest of 2008, our agency will still be open and trying to find buyers to trade, if other agents thought like me, they wouldn't be closing up on daily basis would they?

Looks like we'll be taking over another agents stock next week, we must be rubbish eh?

This is simply a natural contraction of the overall market, exasabated by the stupidity of agents who over-expanded and spent like no tomorrow proving how 'big' they were. The only 'big' thing they have left now is the outstanding VAT bill which remains unpaid. Shame!

OneMove is a limited company and there are legal channels for all to communicate through. Silence until now has been driven by OneMove's lawyers upon reading the last article written by EAT a response has been composed.

The facts are that in March 08 OneMove Ltd was purchased back from OneMove Tech. In the process 5.6m shares were personally sold back. This was a large risk - giving up a secure salary and no personal debt and upon the puchase took on a huge amount of debt. The company was bleeding in excess of 100,000 pounds and it seemed possible to turn things around with a change in direction and product. Funding was secured twice but due to the market changes both investors pulled out. The business model was built on X leads and Y converts as the transaction model. It doesn't take a genius to work out what went wrong. At one point OneMove was paying for advertising for some agents who couldn't pay their monthly fees or deliver the minimum quota of business as per their contracts.


OneMove failed. But look around - banks, insurance, retail, leisure and other industries got it wrong many boards failed to see this and i don't stand alone in saying the current state of the economy is not FUNNY or just NEWS, it is a reality that we all must deal with. The sorry,misguided agent who called it a 'scam' is misguided and this quote is slanderous. The database was sold to two lawyers as we have many clients who needed moving services. This is a common business practise - Zoom AirLines went bust and did the same.

In regards to the site, OneMove did not own the domain or brand it is held with OneMove Tech so this was not in OneMove's control. As the CEO I personally emailed all agents who were members to point out the fact that at the end OneMove had less than 10 branches as members and less than 5 were actually valid members as over the months or weeks agents could not deliver their monthly quota.

Please note that in EAT news release today an agent who claims to be a 'victim' of OneMove, that same agent received money from OneMove and then cancelled their membership. This same agent now calls himself OneMove Estate Agency.


OneMove was losing money, being funded by me personally, my family and friends. I did not run away with a single penny of money in fact the business owed me and my family hundreds of thousands of pounds. A member of staff also lost money through investing into the company, a few staff didn't get their redundancy money. It is a disappointed for all. OneMove is one in millions of businesses globally to have gone and going through this, presently there are 1000's in the industry going through this.

On a personal note, I would like to point out that this is starting to look like a personal attack and very much a invasion of my privacy. I'm not sure how taking my wife on her 30th birthday to a restaurant at 6 months pregnant is news, or me playing golf for the first time in 2 years is illegal or wanting to learn from my mistakes at OneMove and make a success of a new start is wrong.

My 'shock' move to Canada or as EAT states 'vanish', needs to be corrected. My wife is Canadian and her family live here. My wife was the leading factor in moving to Canada as she felt that now, having very young children and another on the way, was the time to be close to family. The world is too small, even smaller with the web, I have not run away, or in hiding and directed to the comment by the agent about immigration - I am living in Canada legally with a work permit, with the full knowledge of Canadian immigration. I have done nothing criminal or illegal, and for it even to be suggested is slanderous to say the least.


Putting my family first and writing a few innocent lines of my experience in a new country and a new beginning are being sensationlized to make it look like I am hiding or vanished are inaccurate and ludicrous.

OneMove Ltd has ceased to trade and is currently exploring correct avenues to dissolve.

Sorry but I will show NO sympathy for Neil Patel here or anywhere else, the model set up was rotten. I have only been kicking about in agency for a few years but bring business experience from other sectors and it was abundently clear that his model of free software (ExpertAgent), free marketing for agents in the local papers and OneMove's income was simply based on conveyancing, HIP and other referral fees was rotten to the core. It was a crap idea then, its still a crap idea now.

Another reason for introducing licencing to agency, to stop the gullible and stupid from entering this industry and falling for stupid scams. Was Neil Patel spending his own money on magazine wrap-arounds month-in month-out or was it Venture Capital? Either way, it was a stupid move, regardless of prevailing market conditions.

Agency is essentially a localised cottage industry and isn't going to fundamentally change from that in my opinion.

I'm sure he never planned to fail, I believe his intentions were to help make money for all. Lots of agents lost out when OM went pop but none more than Neil Patel. Please bear that in mind when chasing him.

Dear Sir/Madam, I had my property up for sale with a local agent who had association with one-move. Over the past two months I have had a flood of emails and letters from Solicitors offering their services to assist mt move and debt related agencies offering everything from a short term loan at 100% interest to 'we can solve all your problems'. It seems that Mr Patel sold his database to a lot of people. Hope he goes and plays with the bears while in Canada after all one can't get enough of a good thing.
