A new service has launched which enables users to order Land Registry documents via a map interface.

The system, from online mapping website Find, works by using maps instead of addresses to determine land ownership.

Users select a map location, zoom into the area of interest – without an exact address – and then highlight a specific area to search. The site then displays Land Registry Title Registers and Title Plans, which can be ordered individually or in bulk, saving both research time and the need to submit multiple document requests for the same area.

The application can also be used to search for properties with unknown ownership.
