McClures is a long-established firm - we were founded in 1840 - but we have a modern approach to helping clients. Among other distinctions we are one of the few legal firms that's authorised and regulated to operate in England, Wales and Scotland for legal and financial services. With offices throughout the UK, we offer a range of legal services that put you and your needs first.
Q: How long have WW&J McClure Solicitors been trading
We are one of the longest established law firms in the U.K. having been established in 1840.
Q: How did it all start
The firm was founded in the West of Scotland. When Bob Geldof created Band Aid in 1984, solicitors thought it would be a good idea to provide a free Will for Charity but only for a very limited period. We decided that it would be a better idea to offer free Wills for Charity all the year round. That was so successful that the firm came to specialise in Wills and asset protection for the elderly client.
Our reputation grew on the back of this and we won exclusive contracts to provide Will and asset protection services with a number of Building Societies. This has taken us on to working with the Institute of Professional Willwriters , Golden Charter (the funeral planning specialists) and other firms of IFAs, accountants and solicitors.
