A former Knight Frank agent has launched an online estate agency which urges sellers to write parts of their property descriptions.

Will Clark has set up sellmyhome.co.uk with advertising executive Henry Nash and itsd unique selling point is expecting vendors to bring to life' property details by highlighting what they think are the prominent points of interest about the home on the market.

The site follows a familiar online agency business model, offering vendors a one-off fee of £399 including a floorplan, images and marketing on portals including Rightmove, Primelocation and Find-a-Property.

Clark claims that a £250,000 home sold through his website would save a seller £3,351 in estate agency fees.

The website may need more stock before it becomes loved by buyers, however. When EAT checked it on its launch day earlier this week, it listed only 14 properties of which one was marked sold and five others were under offer.

    Welcome to the sector Will.

Loving your post by the way Trevor Mealham...... Prevent fair competition and natural free market forces of lower fees for the UK consumer by simply 'banning' online agents so that you can 'earn a higher fee' at their expense

    Brilliant.

WHY is this story 'badged' with the KF logo

It reads as an advert for the NEW Agency - yet there is only one mention of the company name!

Have KF even been consulted as to whether their name can be spotlighted in this manner - never mind their flag hoisted up on the parapet

EAT - what exactly are you playing at with this kind of "journalism"

Why are Rightmove and Zoopla allowing budget agency models to place listings next to traditional Hg St and Traditional Online agents who charge % fees. If budget models are allowed in, traditonal agents should maybe look at aggregating in other agents listings to save agents fees rather than keep saving sellers and landlords fees.

Whilst portals keep upping their subscriptions, budget agents should be excluded to allow traditional agents the ability to earn a decent fee. Its time agents start aggregating for one another or walking.
