Here are this week's heroes...

The Great British Property Cycle: The annual event organised by Agents Giving, will this year see the charity's chairman, Peter Knight, lead a team of agents on a marathon cycle ride between 100 hospices over 14 days in August. Each hospice visited will receive a sizeable donation from the charity and will be nominated by those agents who commit to leading the fundraising effort.

In all, an estimated 1,000 miles will be cycled during the two week period and it is hoped that more than £250,000 will be raised from the event which will be donated to Agents Giving's supported charities.

In order to make the event a success, as many agents as possible need to grab their helmets, pump up their tyres, join the trail and get sponsored. But agents can choose to cycle the few miles to their nominated hospice, or for a greater physical challenge can complete a more substantial stretch of the route.

Agents can also get involved by nominating a hospice they would like the convoy to visit and present with a cheque. Agents Giving is asking those who would like to do this to raise at least £2,500 for their nominated hospice. The charity will then work with them to provide fundraising ideas and support. The launch date for signing up is Monday March 2.

The Haven Cancer Centre: Staff at Savills in Winchester opened their doors to local business owners who raised just shy of £500 for The Haven's campaign to build a new support centre in Titchfield. The centre, which is due to open later this year, will cost somewhere in the region of £1m.

Steven Moore, head of office and residential sales, says: The tea party was an informal networking event and a great way of raising funds for an extremely important local charity - and an opportunity for our staff to show-off their delicious baking talents.

Trinity: A Hampshire homeless charity has been selected as this year's beneficiary for Belgarum Estate Agents. The firm was inundated with applications from local groups, bidding to be named Charity of the Year, which Belgarum staff ploughed through during the selection process.

Tim Corke, fundraising manager at Trinity, said: On behalf of the staff, volunteers and importantly our service users, I would like to thank the Belgarum staff for choosing Trinity to be their nominated charity throughout 2015.
