Hunters is expanding in the north of England ahead of its planned float on the Stock Exchange,

The brand is opening its latest branch in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, which will be run by local estate agent Chris Kelly who claims his new service will be filling a gap in the market for a well-informed and reliable estate agency service. Nicola Harker will take up the role of senior sales negotiator with four years' experience working in estate agency in the area.

Together, they will provide a full sales and lettings service within north Sunderland.

Ex-Countryside veteran agent Harry Hill is to be Hunters' new chief executive officer as it prepares to raise funds privately through a pre-Initial Public Offering of shares to investors, which will include staff and partners.

Hunters is seeking £2.5m to expand its current 128 branches nationwide, a figure which has inflated rapidly in recent years - in 2014 alone, Hunters opened 31 branches and increased overall income by around 40 per cent.
