Forget the snow and wind. Instead, get a heart-warming feeling from knowing that many in our industry are doing their bit for those in need.

We take our winter hats of to those agents and others in the business giving time and effort for charitable causes, and every Friday we carry information so you, too, can support them. Please send your submissions to us at press@estateagenttoday.co.uk.

Here we go with this week's update:

Alexander Devine Children's Hospice Service: Over the last three years the staff at the local branch of Romans have been dedicated to raising money and awareness for Berkshire's first children's hospice.

From baked bean baths and skydives to the ice bucket challenge and Christmas Jumper Day, employees have been creative, brave and fearless all in the name of a great cause. The running total has reached over £40,000 and the company has pledged to raise a further £30,000 in 2015 to furnish the hospice's lounge, which includes a music system, TV, mobile hoist and furniture.

Since our doors first opened in 1987 community spirit has been at the heart of all that Romans do. Estate agency is all about relationships - relationships with customers, colleagues and with the community. We're renowned for our charity work with Alexander Devine and regularly support local clubs and groups says sales director Antony Gibson.

Helen and Douglas House: Taylor's Lettings in Oxford and Bicester are supporting Helen and Douglas House, a children's hospice.

It's a great leap - well, it will be for Natalie Meech, Damian Meech, Jo Christian and Mo Alam, who are sky-diving in March to raise money for this fine cause.
