We're very happy to publicise your efforts and pay tribute to your fine work. If you want to be mentioned, please let us know. Email press@estateagenttoday.co.uk.

In the meantime, here are this week's updates.

CARE: Edward Corry-Reid, an agent at Chelsea based Aylesford International, swapped his suit for swimming gear to undertake a charity swim off the Albanian coast. He and six others made the 90-minute swim from Albania to Corfu to raise money for CARE, a dog charity, and its small animal shelter near Sidari in the north of Corfu.

It was a very tough swim - the seas were rather rough mid-channel which made the going a bit slow, although we were very lucky with the sunshine says Edward. He's raised almost £2,000 and hopes to raise another £500to help CARE with the cost of running the shelter and looking after 37 dogs in need of a new home.

As an incentive to complete customer surveys, the firm donates £5 for every completed form. The firm also held a 'Wear it Yellow Day' when the Tour de France passed by some of its offices , and seven members of staff have taken part in the Rainbow Run, a local fund-raising event.

Cheltenham Housing Aid Centre and Framework: These housing charities have received £10,000 each from the Deposit Protection Service's Charitable Donations Fund.

Mary Apperly, CHAC's housing advice worker, says the donation will enable homeless people to secure private rented accommodation and help them to take the first steps towards resettlement. Framework is a housing association that exists to tackle the causes and consequences of homelessness, and helps over 9,500 people each year across the East Midlands and into south Yorkshire.

This is the second set of awards from the DPS Fund, with donations totalling £20,000 going to charities in West Kirby, Rochdale and Darlington in May of this year.

MacMillan: The Wisbech team at Harrison Murray Estate Agency and The Nottingham Building Society have held their own bake-off to help funds at a coffee morning. As well as raising money for Macmillan, they will also be seeking donations for their local SportsAid star swimmer Liam Knight who is sponsored by the branch.

Action for Children's Byte Night: Essex-based property investment company Brookes & Co is sponsoring some of the all-nighters planning to raise £1m in eight locations across the UK. Having launched 16 years ago when 30 individuals from the IT industry slept out, raising £35,000, this year's event is expected to see over 1,500 sleepers from the technology and business sectors take part.

Action for Children aims to tackle the root causes of homelessness, keeping vulnerable young people off the streets and assisting them to build better lives.
